St Simons Island (SSI) Accommodation Options for October 2024

Overview of SSI Areas/Neighborhoods:
Around St Simons Island there are several different neighborhoods:
1) Sea Island – a small private island to the east of SSI with a 5 star coastal resort that is very nice, but has higher prices. Access to the island is via membership or rental reservations at either their resort or private homes. (Approx 15 min drive to Captain’s Bluff.) See links below.
2) Sea Palms - an older public golf resort community on SSI near the northern end, on the marsh. Closer transit to Captain’s Bluff. Homes and hotel rooms available.
3) East Beach / The Village – a region on the southeastern end of SSI that has a lot of ocean front properties (airbnb / vrbo) and public beach access, plus The King & Prince Hotel. These may be a bit of a drive across the Island to get to Captain’s Bluff (approx 20-25 min with traffic). Close to the SSI Village and Pier area with local shops and restaurants.
4) Frederica - a private golf community where Jen’s parent’s house is; also has rental cottages and houses for rent through the membership office. About 3 miles from Captain’s Bluff, on the same north end of the island.
Hotels & Resorts:
1) Sea Island Accommodations - has several properties and options:
The Cloister is the main hotel (5 star) on Sea Island.
The Cloister Cottages are private homes for rent on Sea Island.
The Lodge is a property on the south end of SSI.
The INN is a hotel situated around the mid point of SSI, halfway between the north and south ends.

2) Sea Palms
Sea Palms is a golf resort area with many townhouse style condos and a hotel. Many have a nice view of the marsh and it is located on the northern end of SSI providing easy access to the wedding venue. You will find many private properties here on AirBnB as well. This is an older property with nice mid-range amenities.
The King and Prince hotel is a nice older hotel/resort on the south end of the Island, and is the only ocean front hotel complex on SSI. They offer rooms and villas. Being on the southern end of SSI it may be a bit of a drive to Captain’s Bluff (20-25 min depending on traffic); however, it is closer to the Village, the Pier, East Beach, and local restaurants.
The shuttle to and from the ceremony and reception on Saturday will have a pick up / drop off point at the K&P parking lot. If you are staying nearby you can park or uber to the K&P to pick up the shuttle.
4) Hotel Simone
Hotel Simone is a newer boutique hotel a block away from the King & Prince and near the Village area on the southern end of the island. Public beach access is next to the King & Prince hotel. 24 suites, a rooftop lounge, fitness center and complimentary beach bicycles are also available.
The Frederica Golf Club has a few cottages that are available for rental as well. These are typically 4 bedroom homes that can be rented by each room or as a whole unit. Rates are approximately $500 per room, and include access to the golf club and restaurant, boat house with small canoes to use on the lake, and a fitness center and pool. Located about 3-4 miles from the wedding venue, on the northern end of the island.
The Village Inn and Pub is a newly renovated smaller inn located on the south end of SSI near the Village with an English pub on site. Continental breakfast inc.
Approx $275 pn
A private 3br/2ba house in central SSI. About $500 pn for the whole house.
8) The Park
A grouping of five 2-4br homes around a shared courtyard. Privately owned, located at the southern end of SSI near the Pier and Village.
9) AirBnB / VRBO
